Settlement Supports
There are many things to learn when settling in Canada. We provide valuable
information and referrals to community resources that help.
Pre-Employment
Landing a first job can be daunting for a newcomer.
We can help you pursue your dream job.
Job Training
Different jobs and careers require different levels and types of skill sets. We can help you build effective
employability skills to ensure that you are job ready.
Career Bridging
Lack of Canadian work knowledge and experience are contributing factors to
unemployment and under employment of immigrant professionals. We can help you build our career in Canada.
Language & Literacy
Do you need to improve your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills? We offer both English classes and conversation circles in various locations in Calgary.
Parents, Seniors & Youth
Adjusting to a life in a new country can take time and effort for parents and
families. At CIWA, we provide services to support parents
and families’ transition to life in Canada.
Business & Entrepreneurship
Understanding contract work and starting a new business can be overwhelming to many.
We can help you build confidence to navigate the gig economy as well as start, manage and grow a business.
Gender-Based Violence & Mental Health
Our sources indicate that marginalized communities experience disproportionate rates of gender-based violence. We offer violence prevention and intervention supports and resources for women and their families.
